Inspired by the music of Nina Simone and Frank Sinatra, director Ivo van Hove tells a story from America, the story of an emancipation that begins in a model American town called Watertown. I Did It My Way features a top-class cast including acting superstar Lars Eidinger and Larissa Sirah Herden, who as singer, actress and music producer Lary is one of the great women of color in German-language pop music, and is one of a series of co-productions that link the Stuttgart State Opera with other European festivals and theaters.
